Video shows thieves haul cash machine in series of ATM robberies
A trio of ATM burglars has stolen thousands in cash from at least nine businesses in Queens and Brooklyn over the last two months, police said Monday.
The spree started in early September when the group knocked over a bodega on Wilson Avenue in Bushwick and broke into the cash register and ATM machine sometime overnight between Sept. 6 and 7, according to NYPD.
In a montage of surveillance videos released Monday by the NYPD, two of the robbers can be seen dragging a cash machine out of a business on Knickerbocker Avenue in Bushwick and lugging it into the back of an SUV around 4 a.m. on Sept. 19.
The video shows two other robberies from Oct. 2 and 7 when the burglars broke into two other Bushwick businesses, one on Knickerbocker Avenue and the other on Covert Street, respectively.
