Todd Frazier cries fowl over Toms River turkeys

Todd Frazier is tired of being terrorized by the Toms River turkeys.

“I have seen the reports about wild turkeys in Toms River. They are a big problem here,” the former Yankees and Mets third baseman tweeted Saturday. “They have come close to harming my family and friends, ruined my cars, trashed my yard and much more.”

The free-agent slugger wants local wildlife officials to play ball, saying it’s “ridiculous” that they can’t move the wild birds.

Frazier called out New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy in another tweet, saying, “Animal control needs to step up and move these animals ASAP. State wildlife control needs to figure it out. What’s it going to take?”

Frazier’s social media missives were not a home run with everyone.

“Someone need a hug Todd?” one man tweeted, while another snarked, “Being rich must be boring ehhh?”

A Jersey mailman came to Frazier’s defense, tweeting, “It’s not a class thing … they’ve attacked me numerous times on my route.”

Frazier’s tweets come on the heels of a report about a gang of aggressive wild turkeys terrorizing senior citizens in the area — busting through windows, pecking at cars and even attacking the old-timers.

Elderly residents at Holiday City at Silverton, a 55-and-older community in Toms River, are crying fowl over the 60-strong rafter of the sinister squawkers, according to a report by News 12.

But there’s not much animal control officials can do about the gaggle of gutsy gobblers — because they’re not licensed to trap wildlife, according to the report.

One Twitter follower, @the_nardling, had a piece of advice for Frazier: “Every time you see one, pull the bourbon out and do a shot. You’ll start caring a lot less real fast.”
