It’s over for Austrian tennis star Dominic Thiem and French sensation Kristina Mladenovic.
The couple, who were first linked in 2017, appear to have parted ways, based on curious comments made by Thiem’s father, Wolfgang, about his son’s relationship.
“They do not spend too much time together – even if there are combined tournaments that allow them to meet,” Wolfgang said, per News.com.au.
“She has a lot to do with the French team for the Fed Cup in Paris. They celebrate the title. Very happy for her.”
Mladenovic, 26, recently helped lead France to a Fed Cup victory, which appears to be why Thiem, also 26, has kept quiet amid breakup speculation.
“There have been rumors circling around London that he [Thiem] had split from his girlfriend Kiki Mladenovic even before the [ATP Finals] run to the finals,” an Austrian newspaper reported of the split. “He has hidden it out of respect for the newly crowned Fed Cup winner.”
Last year, Thiem and Mladenovic regularly shared snippets of their romance on social media, including a snap from a romantic getaway.
“Last couple of days with my love ! 🙄#paradise #vacation #2018 #4ocean,” Thiem posted on Instagram last fall.
Mladenovic first fueled romance rumors with Thiem two years ago after posting a photo of the pair from the court.
“Not sure it happens often ATP/WTA players warm up together before a match ! #generation93 😁😍 @domithiem #madrid,” she wrote in 2017.
