Rob Gronkowski seems so happy away from NFL as Patriots sputter

Rob Gronkowski is making the most of his football-free holiday season.

On Sunday, the former Patriots tight end, who missed Saturday’s deadline to come off the IR/retired list to play in 2019, spent the day in snowy Connecticut, where he helped girlfriend Camille Kostek and her family select their Christmas tree.

“Camille Kostek and her family have been loyal Winterberry Farm customers for years and this year Camille’s boyfriend, Rob Gronkowski, joined in on the family tradition,” the farm posted Sunday on Facebook. “Thanks for being such good sports!”

As Gronkowski and Kostek likely settled in for a cold winter’s night, the couple’s beloved Patriots crumbled to the Texans, 28-22, in their second loss of the season.

“There’s really not a whole lot to say here, the Texans did a did a good job tonight all the way across the board,” Belichick said in an awkward postgame press conference. “In every area, they were just better than we were tonight.”

Quarterback Tom Brady completed 24 of 47 passes with three touchdowns and one interception in the loss. He was seen chewing out his receivers on the sideline during the game.

Gronkowski has made it clear he needs to feel passionate about football again before returning to the field. In the meantime, he’ll be making preparations for his Super Bowl bash in Miami.
