Virginia Roberts Giuffre calls ‘BS’ on Prince Andrew’s ‘ridiculous excuses’
Prince Andrew accuser Virginia Roberts Giuffre is using her latest TV interview to call “BS” on the royal and slam his “ridiculous excuses” in trying to deny they had sex.
Giuffre, now 36, doubled down on her accusations in her first UK interview, set to air Monday, insisting that pedophile Jeffrey Epstein flew her to London in 2001 to have sex with the Duke of York when she was just 17.
She also directly implored viewers to “stand up beside me, to help me fight this fight, to not accept this as being OK.”
“This is not some sordid sex story,” she told the BBC’s “Panorama” in the hour-long special set to air Monday at 4 p.m. New York time.
“This is a story of being trafficked. This is a story of abuse.
“And this is a story of your guys’ royalty,” she told the UK news show of Andrew, 59, who was dumped in disgrace from royal duties after his own disastrous interview about his close ties to the late pedophile.
Giuffre told the show that Epstein and his then-girlfriend, accused madam Ghislaine Maxwell, took her to the London club Tramp to first meet Prince Andrew.
“We went into the VIP section. There was no waiting in the lines obviously – you were with a prince,” she told the BBC’s Darragh Macintyr.
She said the royal quickly bought her a drink and asked her to dance, again insisting he “was sweating all over me” in the interview — given before Andrew claimed he is medically incapable of sweating.
“He is the most hideous dancer I’ve ever seen in my life,” she said with a slight chuckle at the memory.
“I mean, it was horrible, and this guy was sweating all over me, like his sweat was like — it was raining, basically, everywhere.
“And I was just like grossed out from it,” she said, mimicking retching at the memory.
“But I knew I had to keep him happy because that’s what Jeffrey and Ghislaine would expect from me.”
She said it was in the car ride to Maxwell’s London house that she was given the order to have sex with the royal long dubbed “Randy Andy.”
“In the car, Ghislaine tells me that I have to do for Andrew what I do for Jeffrey — and that just made me sick,” she told the BBC.
Giuffre has said in court filings that it was the first of three times she was made to have sex with him, with another being in Epstein’s Upper East Side mansion and also an orgy at the financier’s private island.
That night was also the time that a now-infamous photo of the pair was taken, with Andrew’s arm around a smiling Giuffre’s waist as Maxwell stands grinning behind them.
Andrew used his BBC interview to try to discredit the photo, insisting he had no memory of meeting Giuffre and insisting as a royal he would not hug someone in a photo.
Giuffre slammed the “ridiculous excuses” for claiming the photo was a fake and trying to justify the Duke’s ongoing friendship with Epstein, many of which emerged publicly before Andrew’s interview.
“Like, his arm was elongated or the photo was doctored, or he came to New York to break up with Jeffrey Epstein,” Giuffre told the BBC.
“I mean, come on — I’m calling BS on this. Because that’s what it is.
“He knows what happened. I know what happened.
“And there’s only one of us telling the truth, and I know that’s me.”
While the interview was conducted before Andrew’s own sit-down, Giuffre told the show that she stands behind everything she said.
Buckingham Palace told “Panorama” that the Duke “unequivocally regrets his ill-judged association with Jeffrey Epstein” and “deeply sympathizes with those affected who want some form of closure.”
“It is emphatically denied that The Duke of York had any form of sexual contact or relationship with Virginia Roberts,” the palace insisted. “Any claim to the contrary is false and without foundation.”
