Bronx man dead after brutal beating during $1 robbery

A Bronx man who was pummeled and stomped during a caught on-camera robbery has died of his injuries — three days after his attackers ran off with just $1, police said Saturday.

Juan Fresnada, 60, was walking with a 20-year-old man outside a McDonald’s on Third Avenue near East 163rd Street in Morrisania at about 1:25 a.m. on Christmas Eve when two suspects attacked the pair, cops said.

Footage of the attack released by police shows one of the men swinging a victim by the sweatshirt, knocking him to the ground.

The attacker then stomps on him, punching him in the face while two other suspects join in the beatdown, the video shows.

The robbers hit the man with a metal trashcan, then ran off with just $1, police said.

Fresnada was critically injured in the brutal attack and rushed to Lincoln Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries Friday at about 2 p.m., authorities said. The 20-year-old victim sustained minor injuries.

Police are still searching for the suspects and the investigation is ongoing, cops said.
