Katherine Webb, AJ McCarron’s wife, reveals why she ‘quit’ Hollywood

Katherine Webb knew she hated the limelight the moment she entered it seven years ago.

On Tuesday, the wife of Texans backup quarterback AJ McCarron responded to a tweet referencing her appearance during the 2013 National Championship Game, in which commentator Brent Musburger famously called her a “beautiful woman” on-air.

“I quit ‘Hollywood’ shortly after bc I realized I genuinely hated being ‘famous’ and having my personal life out there so much,” Webb posted to her Instagram story. “But I did some amazing things and met some amazing people along the way.”

The life-altering cameo thrust Webb into the spotlight, resulting in a slew of opportunities, including a Sports Illustrated spread and an appearance in a Carl’s Jr. commercial.

“I did ‘Splash’ with a bunch of other random celebs,” Webb recalled of the now-defunct ABC diving competition series.

Webb was also “Inside Edition’s” Super Bowl correspondent in 2013, but was unable to “do my job as well as I thought bc I was hounded then!”

Following a whirlwind year, Webb was ready to settle down with McCarron in 2014, embracing their next chapter together as husband and wife.

“I gave it all up to marry my forever love and have my boys and I would do it all again in a heartbeat,” she penned. “The end.”

Webb welcomed two children with McCarron — who previously played for the Bengals, Bills, and Raiders — sons Tripp, 3, and Cash, 1.
