A New York City Parks Department employee allegedly shot up a car containing his girlfriend’s ex and an 8-year-old girl, cops said Sunday.
The city worker, 46-year-old Bruce Hansley, allegedly opened fire on the 26-year-old man around 10 p.m. outside 500 Hart St. in Bushwick, according to the NYPD.
Hansley was arrested and charged with attempted murder, criminal possession of a weapon and acting in a manner injurious of a child, among other charges, cops said.
It was unclear what spurred the dangerous encounter.
Hansley was a seasonal aide for the Parks Department in 2017, then worked as a community associate in 2018 and 2019, according to public records compiled by the non-profit Empire Center.
A spokesperson for the Parks Department did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
