Police audio details moments after Bronx cop ambush

Chaotic police scanner chatter released Sunday captures the moments from after the ambush of a pair of Bronx cops.

“906 Simpson! Shots fired! 906 Simpson! Shots fired!” an officer can be heard yelling over the scanner audio posted to Youtube.

“Let me get some units to 906 Simpson, shots fired,” the dispatcher calmly says.

“We’re going to the hospital,” the officer says.

The dispatcher asks the officers to keep the line clear so the cops can broadcast their route to the hospital.

“I need to know what’s the condition of the MOS?” the dispatcher asks.

“MOS is conscious and alert,” the officer responds.

The shooting around 8:30 p.m. Saturday in Hunts Point while the two officers were sitting in a marked police van.

One of the cops was grazed by the gunfire in the chin and neck.

Chilling footage shows the moments the gunman walks up to the van.

Less than 12 hours later, the same gunman is believed to have walked into the 41 Precinct station house and opened fire, police sources told The Post.

One lieutenant was shot in the arm and the armed man was taken into custody.
