Cleveland Browns tackle Greg Robinson appears to be in trouble, to put it bluntly.
According to TMZ, the 27-year-old was caught with “a lot” of marijuana at a border patrol checkpoint between the US and Mexico, and was booked by the DEA on Tuesday. He is facing a charge of possessing marijuana with the intention to sell. Arrested alongside him was former Auburn teammate Quan Bray.
How much is “a lot”? Reportedly over 156 pounds.
Robinson, the No. 2 overall pick in 2014, has bounced around the league, spending part of his six NFL seasons with the Rams, Lions and Browns. He’ll most likely be looking for another team to show him the green, as multiple reports say the Browns don’t plan to re-sign the pending free agent.
Robinson’s run-in is Cleveland’s latest weed-induced offseason troubles: Police found “small amounts” of marijuana when running back Kareem Hunt was cited for speeding in January. Hunt told police officers he would not be able to pass a drug test.
Also, Browns fans were shut down in their petition to make rooting for the team a condition to allow for the legal purchase of the drug.
