A man stabbed a woman to death in an Upper Manhattan hotel lobby, cops said Friday.
Authorities responded to calls of a woman being stabbed in the lobby of the Hamilton Heights Hotel on West 145th Street at 10:27 p.m. Thursday and found the victim and suspect Alakran Hammzeh, 34, who was shirtless and with a knife at the time, police said.
EMS transported the 42-year-old victim, Latoya Wright, to Harlem Hospital with several stab wounds around her body, cops said. She was pronounced dead.
Hammzeh was taken into custody and charged with murder, according to police.
Police are still investigating what led to the stabbing. It was unclear whether Hammzeh and Wright knew each other.
