The stepson of the MTA Triborough Bridges and Tunnels officer shot to death on Staten Island was arrested on Thursday.
Brandon Maharaj, 25, was charged with murder, criminal use of a firearm, and criminal possession of a weapon, in the death of Roger Thompson, who was shot and killed after they got into an argument outside their Meiers Corners home around 10:26 p.m. Wednesday, police said.
Maharaj shot his 48-year-old stepfather several times in the chest and torso in front of his home. EMS responded and rushed him to Staten Island University North Hospital where he died.
He fled in a dark colored vehicle and was apprehended Thursday afternoon, according to cops.
It was unclear what was the nature of their dispute, and the investigation remains ongoing.
At his arraignment at Richmond County Criminal Court on Friday, Maharaj was remanded.
