You may think you’re bored during your coronavirus lockdown — but President Trump is so antsy he’s watching call-in shows on C-SPAN.
The president tweeted an unprecedented shout-out Saturday to Jim, a mill worker from Grand Forks, North Dakota, who rang up the network’s “Washington Journal” program to praise Trump for his trade deals.
“I talk to truck drivers, farmers and stuff, and a lot of our product goes to Japan,” the caller said. “We are booming because of what Trump has done. We are adding men.”
Trump quoted Jim’s comment in a Twitter post.
“Our Trade Deals will be having a big impact on our Country as they kick in!” Trump wrote.
Trump and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe signed a trade pact in October that opened Japanese markets up to $7 billion worth of American beef, pork, wheat, dairy products, wine and ethanol.
