Odell Beckham trade rumors erupt after Jay Glazer tease
When Jay Glazer promises a massive scoop, NFL fans pay attention.
And the Fox NFL insider did just that on Tuesday night when a tease for his Wednesday night radio show, “Fox Football Now,” promised “big national news … I’m not kidding around.”
A 24-hour wait for a massive scoop led to plenty of speculation, which quickly turned to Odell Beckham Jr. on Wednesday morning when WFAN’s Marc Malusis tweeted that the Browns and Vikings were in trade talks for the star receiver.
“Discussions on a trade that would send (Beckham) to the Vikings for a 2nd and 5th round pick next year. Trade is not done, but the deal is being discussed,” Malusis wrote.
Given that Glazer was one of the first to predict that the Giants would trade the 27-year-old Beckham, all the pieces felt like they were coming together. However, Glazer dispelled that notion quickly.
The news I have tonight is not transactional news, not a player getting traded or signed. Woke up to seeing y’all going ape-you-know-what guessing what it is. It’s not what you think. Fox Football Now tonight 11 ET/ 8 PT after race

How serious those Vikings-Browns talks are is not clear. Malusis is not known as an NFL news breaker and no reporter has chimed in on the rumors, yet.
Beckham, though, reportedly spent the latter parts of a disintegrating debut season with the Browns trying to push his way out of Cleveland. The Vikings seemingly could be in need of another top receiver after they traded Stefon Diggs to the Bills earlier this offseason. The Browns’ new coach, Kevin Stefanski, also has direct ties to Minnesota, where he worked as an assistant from 2006 to 2019.
A lot of smoke so far without any real fire. That could always change quickly around Beckham, though.
