Pregnancy dating show is ‘Labor of Love’ for ex-‘Bachelor’ contestant
A former “Bachelor” contestant is getting her own reality show, but there’s a twist: It’s a pregnancy dating show.
Hosted by “Sex and the City” star Kristin Davis, “Labor of Love” will follow Kristy Katzmann, 41, who’s looking to start a family. She will meet 15 wannabe dads also looking to settle down, and they will undergo challenges to prove their paternal chops.
Katzmann was on Season 11 of “The Bachelor,” which aired in 2007 with bachelor Stephen Bradley Womack. (Katzmann was eliminated in Week 5.) Now, with help from SATC’s Charlotte, she has her own eight-episode show following her journey to love and motherhood — at the same time.
“With most dating shows, first comes love, then comes marriage. But May 21st, Kristy wants to put a baby in the baby carriage,” the trailer says.
At the end of the eight episodes, she’ll decide if she’s choosing one of these men to start a family with, or if she wants to go at motherhood alone.
“When I first heard the premise of ‘Labor of Love,’ I knew I had to be a part of this show,” Davis, 55, told the Hollywood Reporter. “I believe every woman should feel empowered to go after their dreams, whether it be professional or personal, and to be at Kristy’s side as she took her future into her own hands was truly exciting.”
Davis, who is single herself, adopted a baby daughter in 2011 and a son in 2018.
“Labor of Love” premieres May 21 on Fox.
