Disinfecting shoe mats flying off shelves during coronavirus outbreak

COVID-19 has made some people mad about shoe.

With the Centers for Disease Control warning Americans that the deadly virus can live on the bottoms of our shoes, some are getting rich selling disinfecting shoe mats, TMZ reports.

One brand, SaniStride, said sales of their disinfecting mats had jumped by more than 500 percent. Another Oregon-based company told the tabloid they had sold thousands of their patented mats to nervous consumers at nursing homes, restaurants and other consumer-facing businesses.

So far the deadly pandemic has killed more than 37,000 in the United States and sickened 710,272.
