An alleged killer was arrested Thursday morning in the death of a 22-year-old woman, whose body was found badly decomposed in bed in her Bronx apartment building last month, cops said.
Anthony Portis, 30, was arrested and charged in the death of Dominique Ben-David, whose remains were found on April 11 by police responding to a report of a foul odor coming from her apartment in a building on East 187 Street.
Responding officers found an unidentified adult female “whose body was badly decomposed,” cops said.
Portis has 12 prior arrests on record and has been charged with robbery, criminal trespassing, grand larceny and strangulation, police sources said. The strangulation charge involved another woman, the sources said.
He was arrested at 450 Cross Bronx Expressway — about a mile away from where her body was found — at 9:15 a.m. and charged with murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon, cops said.
