Dennis Rodman’s most insane tattoo? It’s a slam dunk.
On a body covered in a wild-style riot of skin-deep ink, the most unforgettable rendering on the bod of the bad-boy former Chicago Bull depicts a naked woman using her teeth to yank up the skin of her vagina. (Yes, she is dining on her own private parts.)
As we were reminded while watching “The Last Dance,” outrageous tattoos are an obsession for Rodman, now 59.
Less obvious is that his tattoo collection all began so innocently: with a sweet picture of daughter Alexis on his left forearm, etched during the mid 1990s.
The BFF of vodka- and hotties-loving Kim Jong-un also has a pair of horned beasts getting ready to fight from opposite sides of his chest and a jumble of tribal tattoos junking up his torso. While it’s not incredibly surprising that he’d have his name inked on the back of his neck, it is a bit of a shock that he successfully encouraged now-ex-wife Michelle Moyer to get in on the act. After a night of boozing, they went to a tattoo shop and she got “Mrs. Rodman” tattooed on her back, he writes in his 2005 autobiography, “I Should Be Dead by Now.”
A rolling red die certifies that the Worm loves gambling, and a motorcycle tattoo should be a reminder of poor decisions. “It has a flat tire,” critiqued celebrity tattooist Lee Roller of the hog tat. “[Rodman’s] tattoos, for the most part, are horrendous. I guarantee you he was not in his right mind when he got most of them.”
His arms display a giant sun with a shark improbably swimming through it, a pitchfork-wielding she-devil, assorted crosses and a giant squid. While Rodman usually shrugs off questions about why he’s got all the ink, he did come somewhat clean to Graham Bensinger: “When you have so much pain in your life, you put it on your body.”
As to what looms in the future for Dennis Rodman’s canvas of skin, he looks forward to his hair falling out and taking things to a comedic level. In his 1996 memoir, “Bad as I Wanna Be,” the NBA legend writes, “I’m going to get two eyeballs tattooed on the back of my head … How perfect is that? I’m going to do it — so everybody knows I’m always watching.”
