Shocking video captures deadly Canadian Air Force jet crash
Shocking footage captures the moment a Canadian air force jet plunged from the sky while on a tribute tour for coronavirus front-line workers.
The clip shows a pair of Snowbird jets rising into the sky before one of them suddenly goes up in smoke and tumbles downward.
“What the f–k!” says the man taking the video. “No way! You see that plane just come out of the sky?”
Capt. Jenn Casey, a public affairs officer for the Royal Canadian Air Force, was killed in the crash.
Earlier, British Columbia Health Minister Adrian Dix said one person was in the hospital after paramedics and air ambulances responded to the crash.
Another person was seriously injured, according to authorities.
The flight had been part of the cross-country “Operation Inspiration,” which launched April 29 in Nova Scotia to boost morale and celebrate first responders and health care workers amid the pandemic.
