Hey all you healthy cats and kittens out there.
Carole Baskin, founder of Big Cat Rescue in Tampa, Fla., and one of the stars of “Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem, and Madness,” is now selling themed face masks printed with her very own catchphrase: “Hey all you cool cats and kittens.”
“Be one of the first to get your very own mask featuring Carole’s favorite tag line!” reads a post on the Big Cat Rescue Facebook page. “Choice of black or leopard print!”
Proceeds from each $11 double-layer mask go to help — you guessed it — big-cat rescue efforts, as well as supplying masks for first responders.
Last month, Carole and her husband, Howard, told the Tampa Bay Times that they had been disappointed with the “Tiger King” documentary on Netflix, with Carole claiming she thought the show’s focus would be on abuses in the big-cat trade — and not her personal drama with Joe Exotic.
“I just feel so angry that people have totally missed the point,” said Baskin. “And the point is these cubs are being abused and exploited and the public is enabling that.”
Meanwhile, casting for various “Tiger King” feature films and series are well underway, with “Sharknado” actor Tara Reid being considered for the role of Carole Baskin. Nicolas Cage will star in CBS’ version as Joe Exotic.
