The Big Apple woke up Sunday to shocking scenes of destruction from the city’s third night of demonstrations over George Floyd’s death — including a torched NYPD car and an Apple store vandalized.
Photos showed an NYPD smart car was burned and left overturned on its side Sunday morning outside of the Bloomingdales in Soho.
In other photos, the Apple Store on Flatbush Avenue in Brooklyn was seen vandalized with ACAB — an acronym for “All Cops are Bastards” — and BLM, which is for “Black Lives Matter” — in addition to at least one window shattered.
More than a dozen officers surrounded the store around 1:30 a.m. Sunday to prevent a large crowd of protesters from entering and looting.

The protests drew hundreds to the streets of New York to protest police brutality and the killing of Floyd, a Minneapolis black man who died after a cop knelt on his neck during an arrest filmed on video by bystanders.
Similar protests played out in the cities across the country, including in Minneapolis and Los Angeles, where curfews were enacted.
