A Texas man bought a car at an auction — and found he’d also won 74 pounds of cocaine that was stashed inside, according to a report.
The lucky bidder in Loredo alerted cops on Saturday when he stumbled on the narcotics inside a secret compartment in the vehicle, the Houston Chronicle reported.
Deputies who arrived from the Webb County Sheriff’s Office arrived were shown 17 bundles — and police dogs sniffed out another 17 bundles stuffed in a second hidden compartment, according to the paper.
All told the 34 bundles have an estimated street value of $850,000 — enough to purchase a fleet of Lamborghinis.
“I thank and congratulate the person who alerted us to the drugs. Had he not been an honest individual, the drugs could have ended up in the wrong hands,” said Sheriff Martin Cuellar in a statement to the outlet.
