Highlights of MLB proposal — a copy of which was obtained by The Post — that was sent Monday to the players association with a Wednesday deadline to accept:
— Players receive 50 percent of their daily rate based on their full salary.
— Players receive an additional $393 million (50 percent of the national media revenue that MLB anticipates generating from staging a complete postseason) if the World Series is played to completion. Players would receive that proportionally and would be an additional 20 percent of their daily rate, though MLB is open to other distribution methods.
— If only the Division Series is completed players would receive $50 million, if Division Series and LCS are completed players would receive $100 million.
— Players will not be required to pay back 20 percent of the $170 million advance from the March 26 agreement.
— Expanded 2020-21 postseason to as many as eight teams per league, with the commissioner able to relocate the postseason to neutral sites. Even without fans, if the postseason is completed, MLB would provide players a $50 million pool for the 2020 postseason.
— For the 2020-21 offseason: No qualifying offer and, thus, no draft pick compensation for that. Teams that lose a free agent who signs elsewhere for one year for at least $17.8 million or multi years for at least $35 million will receive pick compensation, but the signing club will not lose draft picks.
— A spring training of at least 21 days including COVID-19 screening, with teams picking either their home city or spring training site to host. Teams may play three spring training games maximum in the final seven days of spring training.
— A 76-game season would begin approximately July 10 and end Sept. 27, with MLB able to relocate teams to neutral sites, spring training sites or other club’s homes for health/safety reasons.
— The commissioner retains the right to suspend or cancel the season or postseason if restrictions on U.S. travel are imposed or there are changes that put the health/safety of players and staff in danger via circumstances verified by recognized health experts and the Players Association. If the season is suspended or canceled, players will receive pay only for games played.
— All players can opt out of playing. Those who qualify as high risk may elect not to play and would be treated as injured and receive full pay and service time, but not count against the club’s roster. Any player not deemed high risk who does not play would be placed on the Restricted List for the 2020 season and would not receive salary or service time for 2020.
