Accused ‘sex party’ host Avraham Adler arrested on assault charge
An East Village man accused of hosting sex parties last year has been charged with assaulting his girlfriend, cops said.
Avraham Adler, 33, was taken into custody Friday after a 26-year-old woman reported she had been “punched in the face” and “choked by her boyfriend,” an NYPD spokesman said.
The woman reported bruising and pain, but was not hospitalized following the 8:30 a.m. incident in Adler’s East 7th Street apartment, according to police. Cops charged him with strangulation and assault.
Adler made international headlines last year after his landlord and outraged neighbors accused him of hosting sex parties in his East Village apartment, while leading a “double or triple life” as an ultra-Orthodox Jew with a pregnant wife and three kids in suburban New Jersey.
Adler once bragged he was so religious that he wouldn’t even carry his car keys on the sabbath.
The alleged sex soirees came to light when Adler’s landlord sued him in Manhattan Supreme Court, prompting a judge to order him to top the alleged lewd gatherings.
