Caden Cole had a front-row seat to dad Gerrit Cole’s first Yankees start in the Bronx.
On Tuesday, new mom Amy Cole shared a photo from her living room, where she and her newborn son watched Cole’s game on TV.
“Watching G’s first start as a Yankee at Yankees stadium,” Amy captioned her Instagram story, showing off her son’s baby Converse with a Yankee cap on the table.
Cole, who inked a nine-year, $324 million deal with the Yankees in December, pitched for five innings during an intrasquad game on Tuesday night. He’ll get the start on Opening Day later this month against the Washington Nationals in the nation’s capital.
In addition to getting acquainted with his new surroundings and protocols amid the coronavirus pandemic, 29-year-old Cole is also adjusting to life on dad duty.
“He’s strong. He’s a good mix of his dad and his mom,” Cole said of his baby boy on Friday. “He’s a little towhead. He’s absolutely adorable. He’s got big blue eyes and gosh I just can’t stop staring at him.”
Amy gave birth to Caden on June 30. She also revealed Tuesday how many fans guessed correctly on her pre-birth Instagram poll.
“57 percent of you were right! Went into labor right on his due date!” she exclaimed.
