Overworked firefighter’s disgusting feet go viral online

No mean feet.

A Chinese firefighter was left with deathly pale, wrinkled feet caused by tirelessly working to rescue victims of a landslide in Hubei province on July 8, as seen in shocking pics released by his brigade.

The revolting foot-ographs depict the unnamed firefighter’s soles shriveled up like a mummy or naked mole-rat — the result of wallowing in mud for 30 hours nonstop in search of survivors, the Daily Mail reported.

Needless to say, Chinese netizens lauded the heroic first responder’s devotion on social media. “This is heartbreaking,” wrote one fan of the tarnished-tootsie firefighter. “You are a true fighter. Thank you so much for your dedicated service!”

“Oh my God, so much respect to you! Please stay safe,” said another.

The unfortunate rescuer was one of 69 firefighters enlisted to aid the evacuation efforts following a massive rain-caused landslide that buried nine people.

All nine people were found during the daylong rescue mission. Eight had died, while one elderly woman survived the landslide and is reported to be in stable condition, per Hubei’s rescue team.

The disaster was the result of China’s worst deluge in decades, which has forced multiple provinces to adopt “wartime” measures, according to state media. So far, the floods have killed 141 people and affected more than 38 million residents in 27 provinces, with direct economic losses totaling more than 61 billion yuan ($8.7 billion) as of July 9, reports Bloomberg.
