Pacman Jones burns Joe Haden Steelers jerseys sent to him in mail
Joe Haden got torched by Adam “Pacman” Jones.
After receiving a delivery of signed Haden jerseys in the mail from an unknown source, the 36-year-old former Bengals cornerback decided to douse the gear of the Steelers cornerback with lighter fluid and set it ablaze in his driveway.
Jones, who ended his drama-filled and controversial run in the NFL following the 2018 season, played in the same division with Haden, 31, from 2010 to 2017.
“I opened up my mailbox today, and I had these jerseys in my mailbox,” Jones said in an Instagram video. “I’ma show you how gangsta I am. Whoever sent these punk-ass Haden Pittsburgh jerseys, all these b—-es about to get fired up.
“This is what happens to Joe Haden jerseys sent to my house.”
Who sent the jerseys? That remains unclear. However, Haden claims he isn’t responsible.
“I see Pacman gets a delivery of some jerseys. That’s nuts,” Haden said in an Instagram video of his own. “You think I really would go out of my way to send signed Haden jerseys? No. I know you, Pacman. We’ve run into each other lots of times. I’ve got respect for you. That’s just wild. I would never do something like that. I just did an autograph signing. I don’t know how it went to your crib. That’s not something I would do ever, bro. It just is what it is.”
Haden’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, claims his client is telling the truth.
“I want to clarify that Joe Haden was not involved in sending his jerseys to Adam Jones,” Rosenhaus said in a statement to ESPN. “He had no knowledge of this and was not connected to it. Furthermore Joe has been a first class person on and off the field. We do not appreciate or condone Jones negative reaction or comments. Joe has had immaculate track record in the NFL and should not be treated this way by another member of the NFL family.”
