Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s controversial son Hunter Biden helped introduce him Thursday in a video on the final night of the Democratic National Convention.
Hunter Biden, 50, hailed his father as “honest” and someone who “will never let you down.”
Hunter and his sister Ashley Biden, 39, took turns praising their father.
“We want to tell you what kind of president our dad will be,” Hunter said.
“He will be tough,” Ashley said.
“And honest,” Hunter added.
They listed off his qualities without directly mentioning President Trump.
Trump was impeached in December for asking Ukraine to look into a lucrative position Hunter Biden held on the board of a Ukrainian energy firm while his father led the Obama administration’s Ukraine policy.
Trump often asks “Where’s Biden?” and accuses him of other shady dealings linked to his father’s official position, including accepting investment from China after flying there aboard Air Force Two.
Hunter Biden is a recovering drug abuser and a father of four, including a child whose fatherhood was recently determined in a court case after he challenged it. He briefly dated his late brother Beau Biden’s widow.
“He will make your grandkids feel that what they’ve got to say matters,” Hunter said in promotion of his father.
“The strongest shoulder you can ever lean on,” he said.
“He’ll be the worst enemy any bully ever saw,” Ashley Biden said.
