And the first pick goes to… the Minnesota Timberwolves!
The T-Wolves came away from Thursday’s NBA Draft Lottery with the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.
Who will be selected with the top pick in 2020 is no sure thing. Any one of several prospects could lay claim to the No. 1 Draft pick title: LaMelo Ball — the youngest son of basketball firebrand father LaVar — short-lived Memphis freshman James Wiseman, and Georgia guard Anthony Edwards, among them.
The New York Knicks, owners of three picks in the top 38, will start their Draft at No. 8 overall.
Rounding out the top five are the Warriors, Hornets, Bulls and Cavaliers.
The Warriors, Cavaliers and Timberwolves had the best odds of pulling the top pick, each having a 14% chance of winning. The Knicks had a 9% chance.
