Stop the presses: The Yankees have won a baseball game. After dropping five straight, the Yankees got back in the win column with a much-needed victory over the Blue Jays on Wednesday night. To get into the win and everything going on in Yankees land, we bring you a brand new episode of the “Pinstripe Pod” with Chris Shearn and Jeff Nelson.
We open up with the “In The Paper” segment, giving out the top Yankees headlines. The guys start with the big win Wednesday and what it felt like to win a game again. They discuss the bats coming alive and Deivi Garcia pitching a gem. Should Garcia be in the rotation the rest of the season and be part of the 2021 rotation? They also get into the struggles of Gary Sanchez, who is hitting a lowly .121. Should the Yankees trade him this offseason? Shearn and Nellie look at the big games against the Orioles, the upcoming schedule and if the Orioles or Tigers can catch the Yankees for the final playoff spot.
