The Post’s Drew Loftis evaluates all the relevant fantasy football news ahead of Week 1 of the 2020 NFL season.
Big Weeks
Ryan Fitzpatrick QB, Dolphins, at Patriots (FanDuel $6,400/DraftKings $5,300)
He was on fire to finish last season, averaging better than 300 yards passing and two TDs per game over the final five weeks. Pats have lost some secondary pieces.
Mark Ingram RB, Ravens, vs. Browns (FD $7,000/DK $5,500)
We don’t expect Baltimore to hand backfield keys to rookie RB J.K. Dobbins from the outset. Ingram will still be heavily involved.
Chris Thompson RB, Jaguars, vs. Colts (FD $4800/DK $4,000)
A lot of uncertainty in the Jaguars backfield to start the season. One thing seems clear: Thompson will have the passing-down role. One of our favorite cheap DFS plays.
Noah Fant TE, Broncos, vs. Titans (FD $5,400/DK $4,200)
The Titans were one of the five worst defending tight ends last season. With Courtland Sutton injured, Fant could get extra looks.
Small Weaks
Daniel Jones QB, Giants, vs. Steelers (FD $7,200/DK $6,100)
A second-year QB, learning a new offense, under a new coach, without a real offseason, against one of the league’s best pass defenses? No thanks.
Joe Burrow QB, Bengals, vs. Chargers (FD $6,600/DK $5,800)
First-year QB, learning a new offense, under a new coach, without a real offseason, against a fearsome Chargers pass rush? Next.
Antonio Gibson RB, Washington, vs. Eagles (FD $4,600/DK $4,000)
A rookie RB, learning a new offense, under a new coach, without a real offseason, against … does it matter?
D’Andre Swift RB, Lions, vs. Bears (FD $5,100/DK $4,900)
A rookie RB, learning an NFL offense, having battled a training camp injury, without a real offseason … Are you sensing a theme?
