Cheryl Burke suffered a scary fall during a rehearsal for “Dancing with the Stars,” reportedly injuring her head.
During the Sunday rehearsal, People reported that 36-year-old Burke lost her footing and fell while practicing with partner AJ McLean and hit her head on the floor.
“Cheryl and I were practicing during stage rehearsal and it did not go well,” the former Backstreet Boy, 42, said in a clip.
According to People, it’s unknown if Burke will perform in Monday night’s show, but claimed she is “on the mend” and was advised to take the rest of the day off.
“Yesterday, I took a hard fall while rehearsing for #VillainsNight. Woman facepalming It’s one of those things that can happen in a split second,” Burke tweeted.
In a reply tweet, she all but confirmed she will participate in Monday’s show. “Thankfully, I have the best partner I could ask for that was there to pick me up off the ground. Keeping our fingers crossed for only planned mishaps during the show tonight,” she wrote.
“@CherylBurke sustained a head injury yesterday during rehearsals, and we’re sending her well wishes for a speedy recovery before tonight’s #VillainsNight!” the show tweeted.
In the video, she and McLean are running across the ballroom floor when Burke, who was running backward, fell straight back and onto her head.
“It happened so fast,” McLean said.
