Add Yankees third base coach Phil Nevin to the list of Yankees coaches who have interviewed with the Tigers in the team’s search to replace Ron Gardnenhire.

Yankees hitting coach Marcus Thames, a former Tigers player, has also spoken to Detroit.
Nevin managed in the Tigers’ minor league system at the Double-A and Triple-A levels and Triple-A for the Diamondbacks. In seven minor league seasons Nevin has a 481-525 record. Nevin played three seasons in Detroit at the start of his career.
Nevin, 49, just finished his third year as the Yankees’ third base coach.
