Joe Pesci look-alike and impersonator Mario Occhicone has sold his Sutton Place penthouse for $1.2 million — slightly less than its $1.25 million asking price.
The one-bedroom, 1½-bathroom co-op is at 45 Sutton Place South and features high ceilings and East River views. The unit boasts a foyer, a renovated kitchen, dining room and bedroom. There are also lots of closets, wide moldings and custom shelves.
The buyer is Vicki Reiss, executive director of the Shubert Foundation, the nation’s largest funder of non-profit theater and dance companies.
Occhicone, who bears an uncanny resemblance to Pesci, has impersonated him in commercials and also played a role in “A System Devoured,” a 1999 film directed by Thomas J. Churchill about Gotham gangsters. He’s also appeared in “Beto! The Bad Boy of Thompson Street” in 2011 and “Bedford Springs” in 2002.
When he’s not acting, he is a real estate developer and once even hosted a fundraiser for Gov. Cuomo in his home outside the city.
Building amenities include a gym, common roof deck and a garage in the building.
Occhicone was repped by Corcoran’s Lawrence Rich, who also lives in the building and has his own ties to the entertainment business.
This year, Rich and his twin brother Allan were also co-executive producers of “After Forever,” which was nominated for a Daytime Emmy in the outstanding digital drama series, as we previously reported. The apartment sold in 23 days.
