President Trump, who has not conceded to Joe Biden, continued to claim vote count inconsistencies on Sunday, questioning how ballots were tallied in Pennsylvania that gave the president-elect the winning margin in the Electoral College.
“We should look at the votes. We’re just beginning the tabulation stage. We should look at these allegations. We’re seeing a number of affidavits that there has been voter fraud. We have a history in this country of election problems,” Trump said in a series of tweets, quoting Jonathan Turley.
Twitter flagged the president’s posting, saying the claim “about election fraud is disputed.”
The social media platform also linked some of the tweets to an article about how voting by mail is “safe and legal.”
Turley, a law professor at George Washington University, spoke in defense of the president during the House impeachment hearings.
Trump went on to raise Justice Samuel Alito’s order forcing Pennsylvania to separate any ballots received after Election Day.
The Trump re-election campaign has filed a series of lawsuits in a number of states alleging voter problems, but has not presented any evidence of fraud.
Biden was declared the president-elect on Saturday after Pennsylvania results showed the former vice president winning, pushing him past the 270 electoral vote threshold.
