A 5-year-old boy is clinging to life after being shot in the head while sitting on a couch in a Chicago home on Monday night, according to local reports.
The unidentified child was struck at about 7:30 p.m. after gunshots rang out on West 115th Street in the city’s Roseland neighborhood, The Chicago Tribune reported.
The boy was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition, according to the report. No arrests were immediately made.
Police had not released information about what led to the shooting, NBC Chicago reported.
