Fantasy football Week 11 waiver wire pickups: Jameis Winston, Nyheim Hines

Week 11 is upon us and with just three weeks remaining in the fantasy football regular season, it’s crucial that managers stay vigilant and make the right moves down the stretch.

It will be another busy week for waivers as managers attempt to find replacements for Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs, Allen Robinson and others on the Bills, Giants, Bears and 49ers, the teams that have a bye Week 11.

Below you will find players at each position who are all rostered in fewer than 50% of leagues that are worth targeting this week on the waiver wire.

Players are ranked by roster percentage on Yahoo and all fantasy points are calculated in half PPR scoring.

Quarterbacks

Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins (45% rostered)

The Alabama rookie completed 15 of 25 attempts for 169 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions, good enough to finish slightly outside the QB1 tier (QB15). The Dolphins are red-hot right now, having won five straight games, and have an exploitable upcoming schedule that includes the Broncos in Week 11, the Jets in Week 12 and the Bengals in Week 13. Tagovailoa should put up borderline QB1 numbers in each of those matchups and is a solid streaming option if you need a Josh Allen replacement.

Jameis Winston, New Orleans Saints (3%)

Winston should get the start for the Saints after Drew Brees suffered bilateral rib fractures and a collapsed lung during the first half of Sunday’s game. The backup and former No. 1 overall pick completed six of ten attempts for 63 yards and zero touchdowns in relief. It’s unclear how long Brees will be sidelined, and head coach Sean Payton has yet to name a starter for the Saints’ Week 11 matchup against Atlanta. Assuming Winston gets the start, the gunslinger is a very high upside play against the Falcons’ defense, which has allowed the second-most fantasy points to quarterbacks this year.

Running backs

Nyheim Hines, Indianapolis Colts (42% rostered)

Hines looked fantastic against the Titans on Thursday night and led the Colts in touches and rushing, ahead of rookie Jonathan Taylor. He rushed 12 times for 70 yards and a touchdown and reeled in five of six targets for 45 yards and a receiving touchdown. It has become painfully apparent that Taylor — who saw seven carries for 12 yards and caught two passes for 15 yards — is not the bell-cow back managers expected he’d become this year. Hines should be rostered in every league, especially with the Colts seemingly picking up momentum on offense and with matchups against the Packers, Titans again and Texans down the stretch.

Gus Edwards, Baltimore Ravens (36%)

Mark Ingram returned from injury in Week 10, but it was Edwards who led the Ravens in touches in the team’s upset loss to the Patriots. Edwards saw seven carries for 42 yards and caught a pass for 31 yards, while rookie J.K. Dobbins saw five carries for 13 yards and caught one pass for a yard. Ingram saw five carries for five yards and caught two passes for 24 yards. This backfield remains a headache for fantasy managers, but it looks like Edwards will continue to have a role in this offense.

Kalen Ballage, Los Angeles Chargers (20%)

Ballage led the Chargers in rushing with Justin Jackson and Austin Ekeler out with injury. He saw 18 carries for 68 yards and caught five of six targets for 34 yards. Rookie Joshua Kelley, meanwhile, saw just seven carries for 21 yards. Ballage should continue to see a plethora of opportunities moving forward and has a mouthwatering Week 11 matchup against the Jets at home.

Salvon Ahmed, Miami Dolphins (8%)

Ahmed had a whopping 21 carries for 81 yards and a touchdown in Sunday’s win over the Chargers, with Jordan Howard a healthy scratch. Howard was released from the Dolphins on Monday, meaning this 2020 undrafted free agent should see a healthy workload until Myles Gaskin returns from injured reserve.

Wide receivers

Jalen Reagor, Philadelphia Eagles (26% rostered)

Little went right for the Eagles’ passing game on Sunday against the Giants, due in large part to a disappointing performance from quarterback Carson Wentz. The good news is Reagor led the team in targets with seven, catching four of them for 47 yards. He is clearly a trusted piece in this offense, and the Eagles should see better days ahead with the Browns, Seahawks and Packers on deck.

Tim Patrick, Denver Broncos (24%)

Patrick, Jerry Jeudy, and K.J. Hamler were all relatively productive in Sunday’s game in spite of a four-interception performance from quarterback Drew Lock. Patrick caught four of six targets for 61 yards and continues to be involved with Courtland Sutton out for the year. Lock may miss the Broncos’ Week 11 matchup against the Dolphins due to a rib injury he suffered in Week 10, in which case Brett Rypien would get the start. Rypien isn’t a huge downgrade for the Denver pass catchers and would have minimal impact on Patrick.

Michael Pittman Jr., Indianapolis Colts (10%)

Pittman will be a top waiver add this week after a fantastic Week 10 performance on Thursday night. The 2020 second-rounder from USC led the Colts in receiving and caught seven of eight targets for 101 yards; he also rushed once for 21 yards. He didn’t score, but demonstrated clear chemistry with Philip Rivers (which T.Y. Hilton does not have) and should be rostered in all leagues moving forward.

Josh Reynolds, Los Angeles Rams (5%)

Reynolds led the Rams in receiving in Sunday’s win over the Seahawks (ahead of both Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods), catching eight of ten passes for 94 yards. His target share has been steadily rising all season, and has seen 27 targets over the past three games. Reynolds will face a tough Tampa secondary this week, but is a worthwhile bench stash if you have the room.

Tight ends

Logan Thomas, Washington Football Team (35% rostered)

Thomas caught four of six passes for 66 yards in Sunday’s loss to the Lions, which ranked seventh at the position for the week. The tight end landscape is bleak, but Thomas continues to see a steady workload week-to-week and has Cincinnati and Dallas on deck in Weeks 11 and 12. The Bengals have given up the second-most fantasy points to tight ends this season, making Thomas an attractive streamer this week.

Dalton Schultz, Dallas Cowboys (16%)

Schultz tied CeeDee Lamb and Michael Gallup with seven targets in Week 9 against the Steelers, catching four passes for 48 yards. The Cowboys should get Andy Dalton back for this game, which should be a slight upgrade from Garrett Gilbert. He is also a solid Week 11 streamer against Minnesota’s lackluster secondary.
