Suspect in shooting of 70-year-old woman seen on surveillance video
Cops released footage of the man — joined by a female companion — who is suspected of shooting a 70-year-old woman sitting on an MTA bus with a bullet meant for a gangbanger.
The suspect, armed with a handgun, fired multiple shots on Fulton Street near Tompkins Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, cops said.
One of the bullets struck the septuagenarian, Gloria Flores, in the cheek as she quietly sat on a B25 bus nearby.
She was taken to Kings County Hospital in stable condition.
The intended target, a 29-year-old suspected member of the Richfam gang, also took a bullet to the left leg. He was taken to Interfaith Medical Center in stable condition.
Surveillance video, released late Wednesday, shows the alleged shooter, wearing a red, gray and black jacket, and a woman wearing all black, running on Fulton Street just before the shooting.
A photo captures them after the incident at Rochester Avenue and Dean Street.
No arrests had been made by Thursday morning.
