Whoopi, Ben Stiller, Rosie Perez to headline Cuomo re-election fundraiser

Bet he won’t yell at Ben Stiller.

Recently hot-headed Gov. Andrew Cuomo will have a few like-minded celebrities wishing him a happy birthday — Whoopi Goldberg, Rosie Perez and Ben Stiller. The trio will headline his virtual birthday-holiday campaign fundraiser on Dec. 17.

The Democratic governor, who said he will run for a fourth-term in 2022, turns 63 on Dec. 6.

“We wanted to be sure you saw our invitation for a virtual birthday and holiday reception in support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo next month. Thank you to everyone who has already contacted us to confirm your participation,” the invitation sent by campaign finance Gita Tiku says.

“We are very pleased to announce that Whoopi Goldberg, Rosie Perez, and Ben Stiller will join the Governor at this event.”

There will be a smaller “host’ reception at 5:30 p.m. for donors who contribute or raise at least $10,000.

A larger, general remote reception will follow. Supporters who cough up $5,000 will get six tickets for the main event, while those who contribute $2,500 get three tickets.

Donors who give $1,000 have access for one. Young professionals and “activists” only have to give $50 for digital entry.

All three actors have appeared at prior Cuomo events or fundraisers.

Stiller praised Cuomo for preserving tax credits for film industry companies that do production in New York.

Perez participated in the New York-MTA ad campaign urging citizens to wear masks to curb the spread of COVID-19 and joined Cuomo along with Chris Rock for one of his daily coronavirus briefings.

Goldberg cracked jokes at a 2013 Cuomo fundraiser at the Waldorf Astoria.

Cuomo insists he wants to remain New York governor and is not interested in taking a high profile job with the incoming administration of his pal, President-elect Joe Biden.

He served as federal housing secretary under former President Bill Clinton.
