Vice President-elect Kamala Harris hit up a Washington, DC outdoor holiday market Saturday — and found herself the perfect stocking stuffer.

With husband Doug Emhoff at her side, a laughing Harris hoisted her discovery: a light blue T-shirt emblazoned with the words “Madam Vice President.”

Washington Mayor Muriel Bowser tweeted a photo of the moment, along with her thanks for Harris’s support of the annual “Small Business Saturday.”

Harris and Emhoff spent 25 minutes strolling through the booths near Gallery Place in the district’s downtown, local news station WTOP reported, picking up puzzles, a decorative print of various cheeses — and, eventually, Harris’s chosen tee.

Afterward, Harris took less than one minute’s worth of questions from reporters.

She said that she and President-elect Joe Biden are preparing for their transition by “focusing on the experts.”

“We’ve been meeting with everyone from labor leaders to heads of Fortune 500 companies,” she said. She and Biden will receive their first classified intelligence briefings Monday.

But she barely entertained a second query, about whether she and Biden would be ready for a possible rematch with President Trump in 2024.

“Please,” she said, raising a dismissive hand before breaking into giggles and walking away.
