$5.5M NYC duplex neighboring Matt Damon, John Krasinski hits the market

There’s a reason celeb-magnet The Standish has been cheekily nicknamed “The Standoffish” by Brooklyn locals: Matt Damon closed off an entire city block when he used a crane to move his brood (and a few trees) into the luxury building last summer.

Damon paid a then-record $16.74 million for his penthouse triplex in the brick and limestone building.

The former BeauxArts hotel, built in 1903, was once the fictional home of Superman’s alter ego, Clark Kent.

It’s certainly more Hollywood than hipster these days, thanks to high-octane residents like John Krasinski and Emily Blunt, who paid $11 million for two units that they’re combining into a full floor.

Damon, his wife, Luciana Barroso, and their four kids occupy the 11th and 12th floors, along with the roof.

Now a four-bedroom, five-and-a-half bathroom duplex townhouse in the building has come on the market for a “mere” $5.5 million.

The 4,434-square-foot unit offers a garden, a chef’s kitchen, arched windows and a 75-foot-long private terrace.

The Brooklyn Heights Historic Distric building also boasts a gym and roof terrace, with harbor views near Brooklyn Bridge Park.

Staged by ASH NYC, it’s listed by Triplemint’s Aaron Seawood and Noel Borbon.
