The timeless Georgetown residence that John F. Kennedy once called home has been sold for a whopping $4.2 million, The Post can exclusively reveal.
Originally built in 1800, the structure has been elegantly renovated from top to bottom. It boasts a wood-paneled library, a full white marble bathroom, a high-tech appliance kitchen and a spacious terrace.
The home was initially listed in February of this year for $4.6 million. On Nov. 30, however, it sold for $475,000 below the asking price.
The late president lived in the historic red brick, three-bedroom house from 1949 to 1951 with his sister Eunice, while serving in Congress. Kennedy was a junior senator for Massachusetts at the time.
As an up-and-coming politician, he would meet his future wife, Jackie Bouvier, during his final year at the Washington, DC, residence.
In May of 1951, the two were formally introduced at a dinner party at a nearby Georgetown home. The two married in 1953. Ten years later, he would be elected the president of the United States.
The classic house also features panoramic views of DC.
After her husband’s assassination in 1963, Jackie returned to the neighborhood and lived in a six bedroom, six bathroom mansion. It sold for $5.2 million in 2017.
