What time is it? Time to get a new watch, and at a great price at that.
eBay, the home base of all things e-commerce, is offering both a great deal and some peace of mind when it comes to buying a new timepiece.
With fakes and fraud running rampant on some other resale and bidding sites, eBay is combatting that with their new Authenticity Guarantee, a check-mark “badge” icon posted on listings for most luxury watches sold through the site.
Testing it out for yourself is a whole lot easier now too, with new deals running often, from up to 30% off on Rolex and up to 60% off on other brands like Citizen, Bulova and Invicta.
Once you’ve selected your new timepiece, take advantage of the Authenticity Guarantee, using a two-step process to not only make sure your Rolex is the real deal, but also sending it to you safely and securely via two-day, signature-required delivery at no additional cost to you.
“When you buy an eligible item, the seller sends the item directly to a third-party authenticator. The authenticator will thoroughly inspect and verify your item’s authenticity before it is shipped to you safely via two-day shipping with a signature required paid for by eBay,” explains the FAQ page.
To qualify for the quality check, the wristwatches and timepieces must be of a selling value of $2,000 or more, easy enough if you have your eye on a luxury or vintage piece. The hardest part however, is narrowing down which watch to get as there are more watches than seconds in the day on eBay’s site.
