An Indiana man has been found dead in a car crash after his wife said he went missing following a “slight argument” at a mystery location.
Anthony Benedict, 26, was pronounced dead Tuesday morning after his purple Ford Ranger was discovered crashed into a ravine near Burlington, news station WTHR reported.
Authorities believe Benedict drove straight through a curve in the road and struck a tree before the car traveled down the steep ravine.
His wife, Sarah Benedict, reported him missing Monday and posted a tearful video on Facebook asking people to “please keep looking for him.”
“I do know that he had been in a slight argument before he left from the place where he was last seen and was possibly upset,” Benedict said in the video. It wasn’t immediately known where he was before the crash.
“If you were friends with him in high school and knew of some roads that he might’ve taken to … cool down from anything, please check them,” she added.
Police said the crash remains under investigation.
An autopsy has been ordered for Wednesday to determine Anthony’s cause of death.
