The FBI and the ATF are offering a $75,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the people suspected of planting pipe bombs at the Washington, DC, headquarters of the Republican and Democratic national committees.
The FBI tweeted a wanted flyer with a photo of the suspect on Thursday, showing a hooded person wearing sneakers, black gloves, dark jeans and a black mask.
The pipe bombs, which a source described to Fox News as “the real deal,” were found outside the buildings in downtown Washington at about 1 p.m. Jan. 6, according to the agency.
Neither of the devices exploded before they were destroyed by law enforcement.
They were found the same day supporters of former President Donald Trump stormed the Capitol building in an attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.
Five people died in the riot, including a Capitol Police officer. Dozens of alleged rioters have been arrested and charged in connection with the siege, but the pipe bomb suspects remain at large.
