Cara and Poppy Delevingne are letting go of their vibrant Los Angeles “dream sister house,” and putting it on the market for $3.75 million.
Once belonging to Jared Leto, the fashion-forward sisters purchased the home in 2017 for $2.05 million and turned it into a serene pad.
The four-bedroom, four-bathroom chic abode was described as a “Gilligan’s Island”-like retreat by Architectural Digest. The high-profile models and actresses who descended from British aristocracy wanted a place they could share.
“LA can be a lonely place. You really have to make an effort to reach out to people,” Cara, 28, told AD. “Since one of us was always coming here for one reason or another, being with family just made sense.”
“This was the chance to build our dream sister house. Miraculously, we’re still talking,” Poppy, 34, added.
This says a lot about their bond, considering Poppy has been married to British aviation executive James Cook since 2014.
The 1950s two-story dwelling is located in a gated and secluded part of the Hollywood Hills.
Spanning 4,021 square feet, the bohemian-inspired home features a formal room with double doors that open to the outdoor space, which includes a pool, spa, firepit, built-in BBQ and a waterfall.
Upon entry, the upper level offers a formal living and dining area that opens to a gourmet kitchen with high-end appliances, an en-suite bedroom, two bonus rooms and a wraparound balcony overlooking the outdoors.
The lower level houses the main bedroom with a walk-in closet, screening room, powder room and laundry closet. It also has a gaming room that features two separate bars; an entertainment room, where they installed a stripper pole; and a bonus room that can be used as a recording studio.
Mansion Global was the first to report the listing.
