A 65-year-old father and his 6-year-old son were killed in a Queens fire early Monday, officials said.

The blaze broke out around 1:10 a.m. on the first floor of a two-story home on 157th Street near 46th Avenue in East Flushing, according to the FDNY.

Stephen Blumling, 65, and Shawn Blumling, 6, were discovered unconscious and unresponsive inside the rear bedroom, police said. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

The boy’s twin brother was able to escape the blaze and was taken to Jacobi Medical Center, where he is being treated for second-degree burns on his face and hands, according to police sources.

Their 41-year-old mother refused medical attention on scene for smoke inhalation, the sources said.

Four people on the second floor managed to escape unscathed and were aided by the Red Cross.

Two firefighters suffered minor injuries — one was taken to Weill Cornell Medical Center, and the other went to Queens Hospital, the FDNY said.

Sixty FDNY and EMS members responded to the blaze, the department said.

Firefighters managed to douse the flames by around 2:20 a.m.

“I was actually laying down in the bed watching TV,” a man who lives across the street told the Post. “This is usually a flight route to LaGuardia Airport and it sounded like a plane going over the house. I heard a girl screaming.”

He looked outside and saw flames shooting out of the back of the home. He called 911, and took video of the raging blaze.

The man who died “was always trying to help the neighbors with the snow,” the neighbor recalled.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
