Prince Philip spent second night in hospital after ‘feeling unwell’
Britain’s 99-year-old Prince Philip spent a second night in a London hospital after feeling ill at Windsor Castle, palace reps said Thursday.
The husband of Queen Elizabeth is hospitalized as “a precautionary measure, on the advice of His Royal Highness’s Doctor, after feeling unwell,” Buckingham Palace said, adding that he was expected to be released after a “few days of observation and rest.”
Philip, who turns 100 in June, was able to walk unaided when he was admitted to the King Edward VII Hospital on Tuesday, and does not have COVID-19, the reps have said.
He remains in “good spirits,” a royal source told the UK’s Daily Mail.
The queen, 94, remains at Windsor Castle, a royal source told Reuters. Both were vaccinated against the coronavirus in January.
