Jilted Jack the American Bully may have a new career as a social media influencer now that he’s found the pawfect home.
The Ohio pooch with spina bifida, whose tale of abandonment went viral last month, already has over 7,250 followers on the Instagram page his new family created when they adopted Jack last week. One post of him scooting across the floor to grab his favorite toy garnered more than 8,100 likes.
The budding stardom was built on disappointment. Jack initially gained attention when Peaches Bully Rescue in West Chester, Ohio, posted that he was sad after a potential adopter was a no show — the third time a family had turned him down. That post generated hundreds of requests to adopt him.
Tuesday, Jack’s tale took a happier turn, when he got to go home.
“After multiple false starts in securing his fur-ever home, this little wiggle butt was excited to start the next chapter in his life,” the rescue group posted on Facebook.
That chapter includes piles of toys, peanut butter treats, naps and belly rubs, all chronicled for his fans.
