John Boehner reportedly tells Ted Cruz ‘go f–k yourself’ in audiobook

Former House Speaker John Boehner reportedly rants that Sen. Ted Cruz should “go f–k” himself in the audiobook version of his memoir, a spokesman has revealed.

Boehner (R-Ohio) is promoting the forthcoming audio book for $39.99 by teasing unscripted moments, such as his vulgar attack on the tea partier who made his life difficult.

“Oh, and Ted Cruz, go f–k yourself,” Boehner utters, sources told Axios.

Cruz (R-Texas) quickly responded to Boehner on Friday during a speech to the Conservative Political Action Conference.

“You know, yesterday, John Boehner made some news. He suggested that I do something that is anatomically impossible. To which my response was: Who’s John Boehner?” Cruz said.

Boehner spokesman David Schnittger told Axios that while recording the audiobook, his boss “pretty much just let it fly, as he did when he was working on the book itself. He’s not really interested in being anything other than himself these days.”

Boehner, who famously smoked cigarettes inside the Capitol office now occupied by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), led House Republicans from 2007-2015, but wallowed in relative obscurity during the Trump administration as populist conservatives overshadowed the old-guard Republican leaders.

The former House speaker dropped his opposition to marijuana and in 2018 joined a cannabis startup. His memoir, “On the House: A Washington Memoir.” will be released in April.
